Zulay Guerrero
and the Doctor’s Double Life

Zulay Guerrero is a 35-year-old Colombian immigrant working as a physician’s assistant from downtown Brooklyn who is in a continuous sexual relationship with Dr. Roman Shulkin work colleague who at the time had a 3-month-old baby with his girlfriend.

The mother/girlfriend reached out to Zulay in October 2024 after a video on social media was posted of the two dancing inappropriately and intimately at a nightclub while the girlfriend was at home nursing their three-month-old baby. Zulay chose to ignore the message without reply and continued to have a sexual relationship with Dr. Roman Shulkin, seeing him often and even staying at his apartment after receiving this message from the girlfriend/mother.

The mother and girlfriend reached out to her on a second occasion in November 2024 once she had moved into the Dr. Roman Shulkin's apartment with their child and asked her to please cease communication with her boyfriend; however, she was met with hostility and aggression from Zulay.

Zulay asked the girlfriend/mother for photo evidence of the family that was presented, yet she continued to text and call the Dr. Roman Shulkin while they were living together as a family. Obviously, this caused hostility between the relationship of the Dr. Roman Shulkin and his girlfriend/mother of his child.

Zulay continued a sexual relationship with this Dr. Roman Shulkin through 2025. There were instances of domestic violence that were caused by the hostility, as Zulay added to the tension, seemingly enjoying the attention.

Zulay even admitted to having unprotected sex with this Dr. Roman Shulkin to the mother via message and implied that she suspected she was pregnant to Dr. Roman Shulkin in an effort to maintain communication and keep relevance in his life.

Zulay knew of the Dr. Roman Shulkin’s child and girlfriend and knew that the couple were undergoing relationship counselling and the mother moved into the Dr. Roman Shulkin’s apartment with their child; however, still continued to have a sexual relationship and date Dr. Roman Shulkin after the fact. She claims naivety in not knowing the situation between Dr. Roman Shulkin and the mother of his child; however, Zulay was completely aware of the situation and this is in her efforts to plead ignorance in fear of social criticism.

Unfortunately, the escalating situation led to incidents of domestic violence, intensified by the ongoing communication and emotional strain caused by Zulay’s involvement. Suggesting that Zulay seemed to thrive on the attention and turmoil, further complicating the situation. It was also clear that Zulay was fully aware of the Dr. Roman Shulkin’s family circumstances and their efforts to repair their relationship, yet she continued to engage in a sexual relationship with him, texting and calling with the baby and mother in the same room at arm’s length.

It is believed she still maintains a sexual relationship with him ongoing. This situation raises serious concerns about moral boundaries, particularly in the medical industry—sleeping with doctors or colleagues—and her professionalism. Zulay’s actions demonstrate a disregard for family and highlight a pattern of behavior that many would consider unethical and harmful.
